Blonde hair don't care

Right, so I know yesterday I posted that I was having my hair done on Friday? My hairdresser phoned about an hour afterwards to rearrange, giving me no time to back out! I really enjoyed having crazy, messy, orangey hair for a while but it got to a point when I felt I needed something a bit more grown up. (Although i'm 140% sure it will still be crazy and messy)
Unfortunately I had to have bleach put through it to get it as bright as what it is, so I'll be stocking up on some more oils soon, I repurchased the VO5 Hot Oil the other day, I'm going to get some of the Tresemme Platinum Strength range (either the shots or the mask) so I'm sure it will be back to normal average condition soon! I also took a quick terrible photo of a new ombre jumper I picked up from George in the sale, I love it. Although I do feel far far far too princessy with blonde hair wearing pink, doesn't suit me at all!
What do you think of the new colour? I can't decide yet. I kept my hood up for about 3 hours after I got home!

In with the old, until I buy the new!

I bought the striped primark dress I wore today so so so so long ago, I remember wearing it not last summer but the summer before when I saw LLYMLRS wear it as quite a decent Topshop dupe. That is crazy old. I didn't wear it that much as I bought the grey version too which I've wore to death. I've decided if I don't wear anything I own between now and when this Uni year is finished I am GETTING RID. *Cue dramatic music.* So I'm forcing myself to wear my old/not frequently worn things because otherwise what's the point in owning them right? You'll see on my Collection 65 post that I also want to try to use different nail varnishes to what I'm normally using too, but we will see! The money I make on eBay I'm sure I'll buy new clothes to reimburse! Also, I used my High Beam highlighter from my Benefit Finding Mr Bright palette that I've had a while but not used because I'm quite new to the whole highlighting-contouring-whatever world. But I love it, and actually noticed a difference despite it not being massively heavy.

Pesky Google

I love the word "pesky", there is something brilliant about it but I can't decide what. Reminds me of "I would of got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids"
Wow, that was a tangent, sorry, basically Google are pesky. Getting rid of GFC like that! I'm really not a massive fan of Bloglovin, I don't really understand it but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. So anyway, apologies on your feed for what must be 289358298 posts of the same thing, but here you have it! Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Right, now to the interesting bit. Lectures got cancelled last minute this morning so I got to sit in bed on my laptop and then met friends in Trof for lunch and green tea. I've got so much on at the minute it was nice to have a relaxed morning for a little while!  Here are the few things I picked up from Forever 21 on my birthday (post linked here.) I absolutely love the shirt, it's a bit brighter than I wanted originally, but it's a really pretty colour. I really like how the studs aren't gold or silver, makes them more subtle.
As a little extra point, I had such a good response to my post about talking about music, thank you so much! You are right, it is my little part of the internet, I should write about what I care about.

Falling

These treggings are my second favourite purchase I've bought in so so long, the first being my iPhone 4S. They fit so well and (sorry for sounding big headed ew) make my figure look alright, you can't really tell in these photos but they go up to about my belly button-ish (the technical term!) They're sort of exactly the same as disco pants fit wise, but just not shiny, which is the only thing I don't really like about disco pants. I was after some ages ago and had a day hunting some down in Trafford Centre, and left with high waisted jeans from Miss Selfridge instead. As much as my jeans are really so similar, sometimes skinny jeans are just too uncomfortable!
There are things I've learnt from taking these photos, 1) I don't know how to use my new Tripod, 2) my boyfriend's right - I do have old lady hands 3) I should of wrapped up more today, it's still not warm enough!
Anyway, I've had such a good day today so far, you know when everything starts to slot into place, lots of exciting things coming up in the next few months, daunting but so exciting. I think it's officially spring now with all the sun the past few days, although it will probably snow next week to prove me wrong or something! But so far, 2013 is looking so good!

Manchester, I love you

I've lived in Manchester for well over a year now and still haven't been to this beautiful part of the city. There is so much that is still on my to-do list but I'm glad to have ticked off such a lovely one today!
Because of time (and a bad choice of outfit, sunny yes, warm no) I didn't get to explore as much as I'd like but I visited the Salford Quays. I went specifically to see the Imperial War Museum, for research and generally for geeky activities, but it was also so cool to see the Lowry and the BBC building. I really need to keep up exploring the city I live in, I want to have seen everything by the time I finish Uni!

Cosy tights

Jumper: Topshop - Skirt: Topshop - Jacket: H&M - Nails: Models Own Utopia and ASOS Party Mix - Stupid face: c/o me

I heard all the rumours and saw all the tweets but didn't believe it. But I can confirm it is all true, the Cosy Tights from Primark are in fact sent from angels. They're so warm I can’t even describe it, probably warmer than my cheap H&M leggings. I love them, I’m never taking them off. (Well, I will, but you catch my drift)
I bought the skirt from my Topshop wish list (sorry, not sorry) along with some amazing glitter Chelsea boots that I wasn’t brave enough to wear but are on my Instagram here. I get my tripod on Friday so hopefully my outfit posts will improve a bit soon!

I don’t know why I’m posing like a loser in the photo of me, it was probably to demonstrate how cosy I am, I’m uploading it anyway cause I like the way my hair looks for the first time in ages. Sorry!

Topshop Wishlist

I'm having a Topshop Personal Shopping thing for my birthday in March from my boyfriend and family, so I'm going to keep an eye out for their new items more often to get a feel of what I might want. These are a few of my favourite things from the "new this week" section of the website. I absolutely love the print of this fox scarf, it's so cute! And the Paisley shirt is absolutely perfect, I want it so much!
Have you blogged any new Topshop OOTD's recently, send links if you have, I need inspiration!

Boring outfit

Top and Jumper: H&M - Legging: Primark

I took  these photos because I really like this outfit, and I've really missed having this jumper (I left it at my boyfriends since Christmas), and then as soon as I looked at them, I realised how boring this outfit actually is! I'm starting a new volunteering job toady and I'm not sure how dressed smart I'm supposed to be but it's always best to dress smarter than you think you should, I think that's a Lauren Conrad quote?
I'm not going to write much on this post as I'm in the kitchen and the door handle is nearly breaking so I'm in actual fear I'm going to get locked in the kitchen! And I want to take full advantage of the last day of the £1.50 Monday latte at Starbucks!
I've also got a Topshop wishlist post scheduled that I was doing last night during the #bbloggers chat, so keep an eye out!

Studded George

Wish my hair was actually this colour, love you flash.

I wore this today to go to a museum exhibition, Nexus Arts Cafe and Barburrito, best day ever you say? This shirt is one of the most random finds ever, I was shopping for ages trying to find a nice black shirt, got fed up and went to Asda for snacks, just to find this in George for £6! It's really flimsy, you can tell it's cheap, but I love the studded buttons and how long it is.
Also, gained quite a few followers this week, hello!
(Sorry for being so lazy and using instagram photos, my camera was in my bag I just kept forgetting!)

5 things

Jumper: Republic (old) Skirt: Primark (old) Nails: Essie Mint Candy Apple and Models Own nail art pen

I'm having such 'ugly days' recently I don't even know why I'm bothering to blog, and I'm not saying that in a "oh look how ugly I look in this photo, please post compliment comments to make me feel better" (I hate that too, trust me) I just feel it, even though I'm aware I'm not actually any worse looking than I was a month ago. It's probably a mixture of only wanting to wear my dressing gown and slippers all the time, and all of my warm ish clothes being at least a year old. Even though I do love my old clothes, I don't think many of them
suit who I am anymore.
Caitlin Moran preaches it sistas, "When a woman says, 'I have nothing to wear!', what she really means is, 'There's nothing here for who I'm supposed to be today'" (had to try so hard to fight the student urge to reference that properly!)

5 things I hate/need to (and will) change:
- being cold
- having only a few warm outfits I like
- wearing what I'm supposed to wear, instead of what I actually want to (it's ok to prefer converse to  my Topshop boots)
- Primark clothes that seem a good idea but you only wear a few times, cost per wear is key!
- being cold, again just to prove my point on just how cold it is

p.s, what do you think of my new header? I'm unsure!

The weather outside is weather

Is it just me who squeals at dog footprints in snow? So sweet!

A few standard photos of snow at Platt Fields Park, which I now regret taking my gloves off for as I can barely move my fingers! I also took a photo for an adorable chinese girl, it was her first time seeing snow eep! My #SOOTD (snow outfit of the day, if you will hahahaha) is litterally the warmest thing I could find,  with no make up on. I wish I was home at my moms, my cat is the sweetest when it snows, apparently she "had a look around then came back in because it was too cold", miss her so much!

£11 outfit

Top: Primark

Shoes: Primark

Bag: Cath Kidston

 Nails: Barry M Purple Prickle

Tattoo and spots: c/o me

This top, leggings, and shoes came to a whopping total at the Primark tills of eleven english pounds, not bad right! I think I might pick up another pair of the leggings as for £6 they're very similar to the Topshop ones I've been after for a while but half the price.

Sale buys

A few bits I've been buying yesterday with my Christmas money! I normally hate sales but I managed to get a few decent bits. I've wanted this Topshop for ages, they only had a size 16 left but I prefer jumpers baggier anyway! I also managed to get this gorgeous Zara bag reduced down to £16.99 and some jewellery from republic all reduced to half price!

(Sorry about the awful photo quality, temporary use of my iPhone!)
